The chest radiographs of 71 patients who had chest pain or shortness of breath following the smoking of highly potent 'crack' cocaine were retrospectively evaluated. Nine patients had abnormal findings on radiographs as follows: atelectasis or localized parenchymal opacification in four, pneumomediastinum in two, pneumothorax in one, hemopneumothorax in one, and pulmonary edema in one. Radiographic detection of these abnormalities was important in the clinical management of these patients. This spectrum of findings is presented with a discussion of the pathophysiologic mechanisms responsible.

I wrote an article on how to rename computers before an image is applied during OSD process (read this article first if you haven’t already). Here at, we PXE boot our faculty/staff computers into LANDesk’s specially configured WinPE, which launches a GUI menu of OSD tasks. These OSD tasks can be anything really, but that is a story for another article. My previous article about injecting the computer name into the Sysprep.inf file used a VBScript.

I have since then upgraded to an script that gives us more options.First, let me give a brief explanation of our environment. We have a parent domain, and a child domain for students. We have four LANDesk agent configurations: one for labs and classrooms, one for office computers, one for laptops, and one for computers that don’t reside on our network.
The LANDesk agent gets installed during the GUIRunOnce section of Sysprep. So, I upgraded our OSD task to prompt the technician to select which domain to join (or none), and which LANDesk agent to install. Here is the script.
I won’t go through line by line like I did for the VBScript; you’ll just have to visit the AutoIt documentation website to look up some of the functions. Re-read on how I did the VBScript. Hello,This looks like EXACTLY what I need for my newly created landesk Hii osd envirorment. My script works fine and finsihes the hii process ok. However, it auto assigns a computer name and then add to my domain. For the Tech that use this, they will have to take off the domain, rename the computer, and then re-add to my domain.I tried using the bare metal option in the console ( version 9, SP1)however, when winpe runs, it only picks up mac address when it runs a min-scan. I needed to use serial number.how and where can i run a script like this in version 9?
Should i add it as a pre-task and remove my domain options in my xml file? If you can help me with tihs, I am sure i can return the favor somehow. Unfortunately, we have not yet implemented LD 9 yet since we were waiting on Service Pack 9.1 before doing so. Also, I am not longer the lead administrator for LANDesk at my job, but now only assisting the new lead (I got promoted to a programming job).
If I update this process for the new version of LANDesk, I will post another article here. Also, I am not that up to date on Windows 7 deployment. I am supposing though that renaming computers for XP and Windows 7/Vista in LDMS 9.1 could be two different processes.Sorry I can’t help much for now.
